Griffin

Afternoon spent at the British Film Institute, being given a tour of the still photography archive, pouring over first-rate pix from “The Red Shoes” (1948), and some precious snapshots of Emeric Pressburger at his house in the Tyrol, then a little walk around to some of the best comic shops in London, then a stop by to browse some of the great treasures of civilization over at the British Museum.

Why, here’s an ancient Greek griffin:

If you ever hear me complaining about my life, be sure to hit me over the head with a large stick.
