Thirty minutes ago I got a call from my dad. After a morning of calling around Louisiana, trying to get information, he got a call from my brother, via someone’s cell phone. The line was so bad, my brother could apparently hear little of my dad’s side of their very brief talk. But Sean is safe and, at the time of the call, was just getting on one of the evacuation buses to Houston – to the Astrodome, we assume.
As soon as possible, my parents will fly Sean out of Houston, and he’ll stay with them in Virginia for as long as is necessary.
We are relieved and thankful.
