Collage Self-Portrait 2
What is drawing? How does one come to it? It is working through an invisible iron wall that seems to stand between what one feels and what one can do. How is one to get through that wall - since pounding at it is of no use? In my opinion one has to undermine that wall, filing through it steadily and patiently.

Reminds me of the incident on varnishing day at the Royal Academy, when an artist noted that one of Turner's landscapes did not have a center of interest. He pasted a cutout dog figure on it. When Turner returned, acting as if nothing untoward had happened during his absence, varnished the dog, not unlike this breed, and let the pooch stay put. Good eye.

Thanks! Good posing by the dog. I wonder if he's a professional.
